Education FAQs

Why do schools on the Space Coast have humidity problems?

They bring in large amounts of outdoor air for occupancy. If that air is not dehumidified, or if systems shut down too aggressively after hours in a humid climate, moisture shows up in classrooms and media centers.

Can existing school air handlers support better filtration?

Sometimes. Filter upgrades must be checked against fan capacity and coil performance. IAQ improvements that starve airflow are not improvements.

Do colleges need different HVAC than K-12?

Often yes. Higher education adds laboratories, residence-related buildings, and sometimes campus plants. The ventilation and diversity problems are larger.
